DayRate is an invoicing app for iPhone and iPad, made by You Know That Site. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: it doesn't collect any.
What we collect
Nothing. DayRate has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We don't receive your details, days or invoices, and we don't share anything with third parties.
What stays on your device
- Your details (name, address, phone, email, tax number and bank details) are stored only on your device.
- Your days, contractors and invoices are stored only on your device. The contractor names, addresses and emails you save are your own records; we never see them.
- Invoice PDFs are saved in the DayRate folder in the Files app on your device.
- Your signature and logo are stored as pictures on your device and printed on your invoices.
- Your payment link, if you add one, is stored on your device and printed on your invoices as a QR code, so anyone who receives the invoice can see it.
If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. Your phone's own backup may include it if you've turned backups on.
Sending, printing and saving invoices
When you choose to send an invoice, DayRate opens Mail (or the iOS share sheet) with the PDF attached. The message goes from your own email account to the address you choose. DayRate itself never sends anything. If you choose Print, iOS shows its normal print sheet (AirPrint). If you choose Save to Files, iOS shows its Files panel and you decide where the PDF goes, including iCloud Drive if you use it. Those services are provided by Apple under your own settings, not by DayRate.
The “Made with DayRate” footer
Invoices carry a small footer with a QR code and link to DayRate on the App Store. Opening it takes the reader to Apple's App Store. DayRate does not learn who opened it or from which invoice.
Camera, photos and files
If you choose to import your signature or logo, DayRate uses the camera, the photo or the file you pick, on your device. Nothing is saved except the cleaned-up signature or the resized logo, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Face ID, Touch ID and passcode
If you turn on the lock in Profile, DayRate asks iOS to check you with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. iOS does the check and only tells DayRate yes or no. DayRate never sees or stores your face, fingerprint or passcode.
Sample data
“Try with sample data” fills the app with made-up people and invoices, marked SAMPLE, so you can look around. It is created on your device and can be removed in one tap.
Notifications
If you turn on the invoice reminder, DayRate schedules a notification on your device. It is created and shown on your device only.
Your responsibility
DayRate is a tool for making invoices. You are responsible for what is on your invoices, for your tax and for keeping your own records and backups. DayRate does not give tax, legal or accounting advice.
Children
DayRate collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
